Wednesday,May 16, 2012 – Friday,May 18, 2012: Spring Flower Sale
The children will have the opportunity to purchase plants during school on Thursday and Friday.  Don’t forget to pick up your pre-orders too!
 
We REALLY need help with this event.  If you are able to volunteer some of your time, please see Mrs. Smith in the office.  We especially need assistance unpacking and sorting the plants Wednesday morning right after drop off.

***ATTENTION*** 4TH Grade Parents — Grant School PTO Elections 5/7/2012

The Grant School PTO will be holding elections for the 2012-2013 Board on May 7. A letter was approved for distribution to the 5th grade parents last week but due to the change in Superintendent it has not yet been approved/sent to the 4th grade parents at the elementary schools. Please include this link on your web site, it directs parents to the Letter of Intent on the Grant PTO site. Our election is set for May 7.

Schoolastic Book Fair 4/18-20/2012

The Book Fair will be running from Wednesday 4/18 thru Friday 4/20.  Preview night is Wednesday 4/18 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.  Students will be given time to shop throughout the day on Thursday and Friday as well.

Tuesday, April 10, 2012: 2012-2013 PTO Executive Board Letters of Intent are due
If you are interested in becoming more involved with your child’s school, consider running for a position with the Franklin School PTO Executive Board. You may submit your interest in applying for a PTO board position by emailing your intent to: pto.franklinschool@gmail.com, or you may drop off your letter in the PTO mailbox, located in the Franklin school main office. All Letters of Intent must be received by 4/10/2012, 3:00pm in the office or via the PTO email address. Any questions, contact Tara Rocco trocco7875@yahoo.com.
 
Friday, April 13, 2012:  School Dance – 80′s Theme, 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Come join the fun and dress in your best 80’s gear!! Tickets are $4.00 per person and a donation of a nut free dessert pre paid or $5.00 per person and a donation of a nut free dessert at the door. A keepsake photo is included.  Pizza is being presold for $1.00 per slice. The dance is open to Franklin School students and their siblings.  All children must be accompanied by a parent.  Checks can be made payable to Franklin School PTO.
 
Please complete and return the attached flyer to your child’s teacher by Tuesday, April 10th.

Yearbook Photos Needed!!!

Dear Franklin School Parents:
 
This is just a reminder that we still need your help with the Franklin School Yearbook! If you have any pictures that you wish to share, please get them to us as soon as possible as we are running out of time. We are looking for group shots containing several students at once, not individual. Some ideas for pictures would be from: St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast, Veteran’s Day, Concerts, Class Parties, Assemblies, First Day of School, Crazy Hair Day, Family BBQ, Halloween Parade/Trunk or Treat, Book Fair, etc.
 
There are 2 ways to submit your photos on line:

  • go to https://images.memoryebooks.com/login 
  • enter username: 400113618 and password: franklin2012
  • browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload
  • enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional detail
  • click “save details” when finished
 
If you prefer, you may download your pics to a disk and send them into school labeled “yearbook pictures 2011-2012”. Sorry, but we cannot accept hard copies. Keep in mind that all photos will require approval first and we cannot guarantee that all photos submitted will be used.
 
We are working very hard to include pictures of all Franklin School students but without your help, it will be hard. So don’t miss out… make sure you get your photos in.
The last day to submit photos is 04/12/2012.Thanks in advance for your assistance and participation. Together, let’s make this yearbook a great one for all!

Gertrude Hawk orders arrive 3/20/2012

Gertrude Hawk will be arriving on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Pick up times will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 3-4pm and 6-7pm in the Franklin School lobby.

The order will be arriving between 9am and 1pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
